Fishing, River & Loch

Badenoch Angling Association, formed in the mid 60’s, controls fishing on the River Spey from the mouth of the River Tromie to the Spey Dam at Laggan.

There is also fishing on the A86 side of Loch Laggan and part of Loch Ericht. The fishing is mostly brown trout with the occasional salmon. 

Permits are available from The Glen Hotel or The Balavil Hotel both in Newtonmore.
